Hi.
This is my page.
I make some music and its mainly all electronic music. I use FL Studio as my DAW.
Why I joined Music Tech
I joined music tech mainly because I love making music, and I thought I could learn some more about music and other sound-based things. I want to learn how to make my arrangements more human, and also learn some more about recording sound.
My Soundcloud
My Music:
Daft Punk Remix
Walkthrough:
This was my first project, and basically the song starts with a relatively long intro. It starts with a really low BPM, and I manipulated the tempo through the song to kinda hype up the drop. The build up also had tempo manipulation and it made it was made to hype up the listener to the max. When the drop starts its a double time drop, basically 4 drum hits per a bar. I added some glitch effects to the vocals, and then I put it into a basic dubstep-style drop. It fades afterwards.

Walkthrough:
So, for my remix of Deeper Love I had an intro reminiscent to the original using the the stem’s breaks. For the buildup, I used the vocals and a version of the chords. I took my a little while to figure out the notes and chords, and when I did, I used a weird serum patch. For the drum build, I pitched up the vocals while the drums played.
The bass drop used a chopped-up version of the original's drop mixed in with my own bass patch. It was a neuro-style bass, or a bass you would hear in a drum and bass song. The second half of the drop I used the vocals and the other stems to create a final build.
The drop off I stretched some of the samples and the breaks to get a weird slowed down version.
Basically the second half is the same as before for the drop. I varied in the drop using the bass patch and lowered the volume to get a cool effect while the vocals are going on. The drums were faster, like drum and bass drums fast.
The end is a slowed-down version of the build, and to be honest, the pitch on the vocals was messed up while this happened. That was a negative. But any who I enjoyed remixing this and I hope you enjoy it!

Walkthrough (Part of Portfolio):
Learning over time: As a person who mainly creates electronic music, this was a step into unfamiliar territory for me, and it focused on technical aspects I didn't understand until I worked on this project. I didn't understand intervals, but, by doing this project and training with worksheets and apps, I understand more about intervals and chords and chord progressions. This song may not be the most original track, but it was a learning experience for me. This song, as much as it is a basic generic blues song, shows an important part of my struggle with learning about the musical world. Without further ado, I present to you my blues demo analysis!
Technical aspects: Since this song was made entirely within a music production DAW, it uses VST instruments and audio mixing withing a computer program, so I will get into that. But this project was much less about that technical aspect, and was more based around songwriting and following those musical laws and ideas, so that will be the bulk of this paragraph. Lets get the big stuff out of the way first: The writing. I basically followed the formula given to me, and created a unique track through my use of rhythm and spacing with the chords and their variants. This song had many drafts, 3 to be exact, and only this one and the version before this one where able to capture what I was going for. It uses the 12 bar blues format, which has a distinct chord progression of I I I I, IV IV I I, V IV I and, if you are going into another 12 bars and continuing on with the song, you would have a V chord. However, if you wish to finish the track, use the I chord. Maybe add some fancy piano riff at the end. The chords are suspended 7th chords, and they comprise the entirety of the piece's composition.
