Jack Johnson is saying that believing in something is something that you can choose. But dont choose something because someone suggested it, choose it because it means something to you. But at the end of the day, ITS ALL RELATIVE.

That's a pretty good music because of both the lyric and the style. The style is light and new for me, which I like a lot.
Also, the lyric is creative. The lyric is full of scarcasm. It means sometimes people think they understand but actually not. We should have a good atittude to listen to others, even things we know.

I would say that this song is mostly about perspective and how truth is relative. It reminds me of Imagine (lennon) in the ... direction, i guess.... of the lyrics. I like the part "even if we don't understand. we can just believe" whcih i guess kinda means that, CtPB, understanding and 'knowing' isn't necessary. I think that the lyrics of the song represent the different views of people and the way they view the world. Jack Johnson is talking about how we might not fully understand the truth but we believe in it anyway and how everyone else has their own opinion of what they see. I think that he talks about how truth is relative and so is beliefs and maybe even how people can be relative. Like Jack Johnson says, it's all relative.

He is dissatisfied with the world and all the falseness in it. The first verse tells us that beauty forgives lack of character. The second verse tells us that the media often sensationalizes the news to a point where the fact becomes fiction. I think the third verse might be Jack questioning God, because everybody accepts the Bible, although you can't trust everything that you read. That "If you know what i mean" at the end of the third verse really gives the previous lines a sarcastic feeling. I think the chorus tells us that "fact" is relative, thus different for each person, so we should all just get along.

i think jack johnson means we know the truth and sometimes we know it better when we dont actually understand it. it also says we shouldnt beleive in things that other people say and the things we know are always based on facts or fiction and most of the time people just assume things.

This song has a lot of meaning to it each part with a different one. In the first verse Mr Johnson is saying you can be beautiful and get by, you don't need the personality anymore. In the second verse he is kind of mocking the materialistic world we live in today. In the last verse Jack Johnson seems to be kind of sneering at God and at the world. i'm not really a big fan of jack johnson, this is the first time that I've herd his song. so i think what he is trying to say is that even if you don't understand somethings one day you might understand those somethings. i like the guitar part through out the song

I think Jack Johnson is talking about human nature and the barriers and false personas that people put up. I think that he's saying people need to stay true to themselves, like Nishant said. I also think that it's an interesting song with a cool, mellow guitar part that stays virtually the same throughout the whole song. It's a good song!

All understood is about following the masses. The first verse displays if you are beatiful, you are popular; no matter how boring and banal you are. The second verse talks about the media corrupts the truth for opinion. In the last verse the author describes the battle in himself between God and faith.
